Welcome to Cycle 3 of the Rampton Round-Down!

Okay family - Are you ready to start again? Have you eaten yourself into a dither? Tired of fun, celebrating, and eating anything at will? Finished with pulling out the size "biggos" from back in the closet? Let's get going again.

Why don't we start this coming Friday, the 1st. (we thought Friday postings would be better so that if we have heavy eating to do on the weekends, it won't blow our week's weight loss as much.) Our end goal will be the family reunion. First, you need to set a goal for your weight loss and post it with your intention to participate -

Remember, you never need to reveal your weight at any point as we only ask for percentage of weight lost. Even if you only want to lose 5 pounds, please join us - it makes it more fun and motivating for all of us. **If you haven't gone on to post on the blog before, let Alicia know so that she can make it work for you.

We are being very tough this time around. There is a $10 fee to participate this cycle and you must post by the end of the first week or you will be kicked off the challenge and forfeit your participation fee.

Let the Challenge Begin!!

3 rd week notes

Well, Guys, I am finally able to post messages on this blog, thanks to Alicia. Thanks, Alicia. After today's weigh in while Iwas driving down 7th east my car made an automatic turn into Banbury Cross donuts (that's what I get for driving around unprepared (PREPARED MUST BE OUR MOTTO, OUR GOAL, WE NEED TO BE OBSESSIVE ABOUT BEING PREPARED). Well I had no tomatoe juice or carrots or apples or nuts, or lunch meat or soft drinks in the car, so of course I was famished. I am telling everyone this story so you will do as I say, not as I do and learn from my devastating experience of downing three cinammon crumbs donuts at one go. I may have chewed a little, but there was sure a lot of quick swallowing. So I tried to eat nothing else today and with a few 200 carloies exceptions I made it.

Here is my tip: herb tea. Have a big mid morning and/or mid afternoon herb tea with splenda.
There are some great flavors. Carry it around with you.

My other tip: drink 2 glasses of water first thing in the morning. Helps fill you up and wake you up.

My other tip: cans of V8 juice in the car.

I spent a lovely Friday night by myself in Walmart. I pushed a cart around and picked out some darling clothes since I need some summer clothes that fit. It took at least an hour. Then I tried them on. it took another 45 minutes. Everyone of them made me look like a walrus, so I didn't get any of them. but it sure was fun shopping and pretending they would fit. And I think it has given me a shred more of motivation.

P.S. I just barely bought a hula hoop tonight at Walmart so Kin and I will do last week's physical challenge. She is doing pretty well - excercising tons. She will post her loss on Sunday.

Hey, pound buddy, where were you when I was driving by Banbury Cross?
